This workshop-type training proposes a practical complement for aviation safety personnel or accident investigators to enhance their efficiency in communicating, in resolving problems and in making decisions.

This training is one of the 5 modules of the series to qualify as an expert in SMS.

  • To use appropriate problem solving and decision making techniques, adapted to the context of preventing safety risk management or investing incidents.
  • Problem solving: what the problem is and is not, how to find out facts and opinions, defining the problem causes, working out possible solutions, and selecting the most appropriate.
  • Making a decision: implementing, protecting and controlling an action plan.
  • Reasoning method applicable to solve a Safety Risk Management or an analysis of incident.
  • Practical exercises and case studies.

All personnel involved in the safety process, either in charge of conceiving and conducting an accidentprevention program or taking part in an aviation accident or incident investigation.

Multinational course, English intermediate level (B1/B2).
